Luanda – The defending champions 1º de Agosto beat 1-0 Progresso do Sambizanga on Saturday in the 22nd round of the national first division football championship thanks to a goal scored by the striker Mabululo and remain the leaders of the competition with 50 points.

The fight for the title seems to be increasingly close with 1º de Agosto, Sagrada Esperança (48 pts) and Petro de Luanda (45pts) all seeking the trophy.

Progresso do Sambizanga are currently in the 11th place with 23 points.

The round continues on Sunday with the matches Recreativo da Caála-Petro de Luanda, Williete de Benguela-Académica do Lobito and Santa Rita do Uíge-Ferrovia do Huambo, while Baixa de Cassanje-Cuando Cubango FC play on Monday.
