36-year-old South African man arrested with cannabis worth N.dollars 2.4 million

The case of a 36-year-old South African man arrested with cannabis worth N.dollars 2.4 million in December last year, will now be heard in the Regional Court at Keetmanshoop, the Prosecutor General (PG) has decided.

Celumusa Ndebele made another appearance before Magistrate Olivia Van der Colff in the Keetmanshoop Magistrate's Court today where he was informed about the PG's decision.

Van der Colff postponed his case to 19 September 2019 for the accused to make his first appearance in the regional court.

The PG's decision also indicated that the accused be charged with one count of dealing in drugs with an alternative count of possession of dependence producing substance.

Ndebele will also be charged with one count of contravening the Prevention of Organised Crime Act (Act 29 of 2004).
