A man was arrested on Friday at Sendelingsdrift border

A 56-year-old man was arrested on Friday at Sendelingsdrift border post in Rosh Pinah for the possession of four objects suspected to be diamonds.

A weekly crime report issued today by the Namibian Police Force (NamPol) said the man was arrested at around 15h45 after a search on the vehicle he was travelling in.

Police investigations continue.

In a different incident, nine-year-old Ndara Werner Vihemba allegedly drowned at around 15h25 on Saturday at Kayengona village river in Rundu while he was fishing with his aunt.

His body was retrieved from the river by NamPol divers on the same day and the next of kin have been informed of his death.
