Administrative sector receives smallest budget allocation for 2020/21 FY

The Administrative sectors received the least allocation from the N.dollars 72.8 billion total national budget for the

2020/21 financial year tabled in the National Assembly by Finance Minister, Ipumbu Shiimi on Wednesday.

For the 2020/21 financial year, Shiimi allocated N.dollars 4.5 billion to administrative sector, which is equivalent to 6.9 percent of the total allocation.

Urban and Rural Development received N.dollars 1.7 billion to support the increasing provision for sanitation infrastructure, land servicing and bulk water supply services, sewage and electricity among others.

The Ministry of International relations and cooperation received N.dollars 1.0 billion, while the National Assembly received N.dollars 131 million and the

National Council N.dollars 101.3

A total of N.dollars 324.2 million was allocated to the contingency fund for the current financial year.
