ANGOLA, NAMIBIA WORKING ON ENSURING BETTER PROTECTION FOR ANOLANS IN NAMIBIA

LUANDA, -- Angolan Foreign Minister Georges Chikoti says discussion s are being held with the authorities in neighbouring Namibia to ensure better protection of the Angolan community in that country.

He told the media on the sidelines of the inauguration ceremony of the new Angolan consuls to Lisbon, Narciso do Espirito Santos, and to Oshakati, Namibia, Gilberto Pinto Chikoti, that some Angolan Angolan citizens were being expelled for illegal stayin Namibia.

He added that the process should firstlidentify them before appropriate action is taken. He noted that many of these Angolan nationals had settled in this territory of Namibia at a time of war and had no proper documentation, which was reasons why they had been exelled.

Chikoti said that in terms of the number expelled, it was not that large but there are points in which they expressed these issues, particularly in northern Namibian, between Oshakati and Rundu.
