Known for her unique take on everyday African situations in the most hilarious manner, Anne Kansiime has won the hearts of many a comedy lover not only in Africa, but across the globe, not to mention Namibia.

So, when news broke that the award-winning funny woman is heading to Namibia, local fans shared their excitement across social media.

“It was confirmed last night that she will be arriving on the 20th,” promoter Sula Kyababa told The Namibian.

Kyababa, who is synonymous with bringing top international music acts to Namibia, admitted that they had been in talks with the Ugandan comedian but couldn’t confirm anything as they had not finalised anything until last night. This time, Kyababa teamed up with Namibia Breweries Limited (NBL) and Vigo.

Kansiime will perform at the National Theatre of Namibia (NTN) on 21 August and alongside Oteya as part of the Namibian singer’s latest tour that will start at the Zoo Park on Saturday 22 August.

This will be the first time that Kansiime will be performing in Namibia and soon after Oteya broke the news via social media, while sharing the rest of the concert dates for her tour.

Tickets to see Kansiime at the NTN will cost N$300 while the Oteya show will be accessible by simply buying a six pack Vigo at Shoprite and exchanging the slip with a ticket at Computicket outlets.
