Coach Errol Damaseb of the Beauties Football Club said despite going down 4-3 against Tura Magic at the Namibia Football Association (NFA) technical centre some positives can be drawn from the match.

The two football clubs locked horns on Saturday during round 10 of the FNB Women’s Super League.

A goal from Viola Fliete in the 60th minute and Tjituka Kamunikere in the 65th minute were enough to draw the score level at one stage of the match despite Tura Magic dominating the game in the first half which ended 3-1 in their favour.

Lack of concentration at the back cost the Beauties valuable points they needed as Tura Magics’ experience played in their favour and found the back of the net in the 80th minute through Anna Shikusho who scored her brace on the day and saw her team collecting the maximum points from that match.

Damaseb after the match told Nampa that their approach to their games is always the same and with the players gaining the confidence they will start collecting points.

“We have fast players in our team and today we launched long balls upfront which worked for us. Today we made silly mistakes which caused us the game but I am happy with the result and the work that the girls have put in,” Damaseb said.

He added that the team aims to be in the top five and higher in the season, noting that: “looking at today’s match with Tura the girl’s performance was a big bonus for us. We are now going to relook at our mistakes and then take it from there going forward.”

Meanwhile, Tura Magic head coach Shama Gure told this agency that they had a brilliant first half saying, after creating the lead their players relaxed in the second and it almost cost them the game.

“We are going back to the drawing board to work on the mistakes we made. Our goal is to take it one game at a time, with the league being so competitive this season,” he said.
