Car accident claims one life near Rosh Pinah

A 26-year-old man died after the vehicle he was driving overturned 20 kilometres outside Rosh Pinah in the ||Kharas Region on Saturday afternoon.

Namibian Police Force's acting crime investigations coordinator for ||Kharas, Chief Inspector, Coleen Brandt told Nampa on Monday that the deceased has been identified as Nambahu UUngulu.

The incident happened around 17h25 on Saturday on the Aussenkehr � Rosh Pinah road.

The driver lost control over the vehicle and it overturned, he was driving a combi with 11 other passages of which two were seriously injured and the others slightly injured. But all of them are in a stable condition as they were treated at the local clinic, she said.

Brandt added that the vehicle was travelling to Organjemund from Aussenkehr when the accident happened.

The deceased next of kin has been informed of his death and police investigations continue.
