China Concerned Over Extreme Remarks in Japan: Foreign Ministry Spokesperson

Beijing: China is highly concerned about the recent extreme and threatening remarks in Japan, foreign ministry spokesperson Mao Ning told a daily press briefing here on Monday.



According to Namibia Press Agency, Mao Ning addressed a query regarding the Chinese government’s advisory for its citizens to avoid traveling to Japan due to security concerns. She emphasized that there have been multiple criminal cases against Chinese citizens in Japan. Additionally, extreme and threatening comments have been made by Japanese rightists and circulated on the internet, heightening concerns.



“China is highly concerned about this. It is completely reasonable for relevant departments to issue reminders,” Mao stated, underscoring the seriousness with which China views these developments.
