Countdown to Huisgenoot’s Hart Van Windhoek

THE countdown for one of Windhoek’s biggest music festivals has officially kicked off, with Huisgenoot’s Hart van Windhoek billed to be bigger and better than ever.

The show will rock Windhoek on 5 and 6 September at the Doc Jubber Hockey Fields in Olympia.

“We are now starting to create a hype and we can feel that people are extremely excited about this big music event. This was evident when we handed out our red hearts last week Friday on various street corners in Windhoek. People hooted for a heart and told us that they were holding thumbs to win tickets, so that they could attend,” says Madri Frewer, Marketing Manager at FNB Namibia.

FNB Namibia, one of the main sponsors for the past four years, has this year added a special touch to the event, with the ‘Liewe Heksie’ kids’ show on Saturday. “We are very proud to partner and bring for the first time to Namibian soil, the amazing and funny ‘Liewe Heksie’ show by Margit Meyer-Roumldenbeck and Deon Meyer. Shows take place on Saturday, 6 September at 11h00 and 13h15 in the FNB Kids Arena. Entrance to the ‘Liewe Heksie’ show is free of charge,” adds Frewer.

To top it all, big names are part of the line-up again and these include for example Wambuumlseun, Kahn Morbee (from the Parlotones), Bittereinder, Crazy White Boy and Black Coffee on Friday night and Nadine, Jay, Riana Nel, Karen Zoid, Snotkop, Emo Adams, Elvis Blue, Ray Dylan and Springbok Nude Girls on Saturday night.

“This is the biggest music festival of the year in Namibia and we know that people travel from afar to attend. This year will be huge and fun-filled again and we invite all Namibians to join us and Huisgenoot on 5 and 6 September,” said Frewer.
