The City of Windhoek (CoW) has announced the appointment of George Mayumbelo as its Acting Chief Executive Officer (CEO), effective 09 to 30 November 2022.

A media statement issued Wednesday said Mayumbelo, who is the City’s current Strategic Executive for Human Capital and Corporate Services, takes over from former acting CEO and Strategic Executive Officer for Electricity, O’Brien Hekandjo who acted in that capacity from 16 August to 08 November 2022.

CoW has been without a CEO for nearly two years.
