The De Beers Group’s former Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Bruce Cleaver and his successor Al Cook yesterday paid President Hage Geingob a courtesy visit at State House.

Cleaver, who is now the group’s co-chairperson alongside Anglo-American CEO Duncan Wanblad, said the aim of the visit amongst others was to introduce Cook, who started serving in the position of CEO on 20 February 2023.

Cook joined De Beers from Norway’s state-owned energy company Equinor, where he was the executive vice president of international exploration and production.

President Geingob officially welcomed the duo before engaging them in a closed-door meeting.
