Decomposed body found at Samahiho identified

The decomposed body of an unknown man discovered by a cattle herder at Samahiho village in the Kavango East region on Saturday has been identified.

The Namibian Police Force Head of Forensic Pathology Detective Inspector Gottfried Maritsane told Nampa on Tuesday the body was identified by family members on Sunday at the Rundu Police Mortuary.

The deceased has been identified as 78-year-old Immanuel Elenestu.

According to the MaritsaneElenestu went to the hospital for a follow-up and never came home thereafter.

Family members of the deceased told the head of forensic Elenestu has been missing for close to a month until when they heard about a decomposed body that was discovered on Saturday.

The family members Maritsane said identified Elenestu on the clothes he had on the day he went to the hospital.
