Defence Minister calls on youth to ensure they are academically fit to secure themselves a bright future

ONYAANYA: Defence Minister Nahas Angula has called on the youth in the country to ensure they are ‘academically fit’ to secure themselves a bright future.

Angula said this at the Uukule Senior Secondary School (SSS) in the Onyaanya Constituency of the Oshikoto Region on Friday.

Speaking during the Onyaanya Circuit’s education performance award-giving ceremony, he urged pupils to work hard at school to achieve their goals.

The former premier also urged teachers to instil a culture of reading in their learners by encouraging them to read widely, including newspapers.

This, Angula said, will help learners improve their language proficiency.

He further encouraged principals to maintain teamwork among all members of their school communities, saying it is the key to success.
