Dinapama Manufacturing and Suppliers was on Thursday announced as a sponsorship partner for Black Africa (BA) Sports Club for the 2021/22 season.

The sponsorship, which is worth N.dollars 50 000, is valid for one season with an option to renew for the upcoming season.

It will consist of sports merchandise which includes training gear, stepping out gear, casual gear, tracksuits, and masks. It excludes playing gear.

Speaking at a handover event here, BA chairperson Lucky Richter said the two institutions were winners in their own rights in their own respective fields, hence it was not a surprise that they chose to work together.

“BA has a very rich history and tradition in Namibian football, which the new management intends to maintain with the help of Dinapama through the timely sponsorship,” he said.

According to him, sponsorship is a two-way stream that requires the two partners to mutually benefit. He called on BA supporters to buy the club’s apparel from Dinapama.

He further promised Dinapama to have exposure in the clubs’ ever-growing social media platforms, thereby increasing their sales.

“We are an honest and transparent football club. We, therefore, will provide feedback to Dinapama on a time-to-time basis with regards to increased visibility,” he continued.

Speaking on behalf of Dinapama, Michael Ndlovu said they choose football because it is the number one sport in the country.

“We have been hit by COVID-19 but as a company, we managed to keep moving forward. We chose BA because of what we have seen from them in the past as a winning team. They also offered us an opportunity to give back to the public, who are the ones who support us through thick and thin,” Ndlovu said.

BA player Wendell Rudath welcomed the sponsorship, saying it inspires them to perform well in their upcoming matches because the new gear will make them feel great both on and off the field.
