A resident of Ehenye suburb in Oshakati, Veiko Paulus, lost several properties to the total value of N.dollars 212 000 after his house was broken into between Monday and Tuesday, the Namibian Police Force (NamPol) has revealed.

Inspector Thomas Aiyambo of NamPol’s Community Affairs Office in the region revealed this in a crime report issued on Wednesday.

Aiyambo pointed out that the suspects allegedly used a hard saw to cut the house’ window burglar bars to gain entry to the house and got away with several items.

He singled out the stolen items such as a laser machine, a box of whiskey bottles, two pairs of sneakers, an Acer laptop, a Canon camera and a drone, among others.

Nothing has yet been recovered and no arrest has been made.

NamPol is thus investigating a case of housebreaking with intent to steal and theft.

In a separate incident, Aiyambo said the Oshakati NamPol on Sunday arrested a 29-year-old woman for allegedly stealing money from her employer at about 13h00.

According to him, the suspect on Sunday stole N.dollars 99 217 from Ours Depot in the Oshakati Town’s Evululuko location, where she was employed.

No recovery was made in the case and police investigations continue.
