‘Every Woman’ wins big at the NTFA 2019

The Namibian theatre play 'Every Woman' and Senga Brockerhoff win big at 2019 Namibian Threatre and Film Awards held here on Saturday evening.

The theatre play 'Every Woman' received four awards for Best Overall Play won by Brockerhoff, who also won the Best Theater Director and Best Theatre Musical awards for the play.

Jennifer Timbo won the Best Supporting Actor award for her supporting role in the theatre play Every Woman.

Other big on the evening were The film Baxu and the Giants and Hairareb received three awards respectively.

10-year-old Camila Jo-Ann Daries won the Best Female Actor award for the role in Baxu and the Giants, the Best Editor was won by Robert Scott for the same film as well as the Best Production Design which was won by Tanya Stroh.

The Best Narrative Film went to Hairareb, David Ndjavera won Best Male Actor for his role in Hairareb and Oshiveli Shipoh won the Best Director for the same film.

The White Line won the Audience Choice Award and Best Script award by Micheal Pulse and the award for Best Newcomer Director by Desiree Kahikopo.

The Best Documentary award for the documentary 'Another Sunny Day' was won by Tim Huebschle and Haiko Boldt.

The Best Student Film award went to Tapiwa Makaza for the student film 'NDF Survival Kit', the Best Video Director went to Andrew Robson for the video 'Martyr' and Best Cinematography award was won by Bernd Curschmann for the film 'Invisibles'.
