FIBA Signs Four-Year Media Rights Contract with beIN SPORTS for France

Paris: The International Basketball Federation (FIBA) has announced a four-year contract with beIN SPORTS for the media rights to broadcast FIBA’s tournaments in France.

According to Namibia Press Agency, the broadcasting rights obtained by beIN SPORTS cover the 2026 FIBA Women’s Basketball World Cup and the 2027 FIBA Basketball World Cup, starting with the 2027 World Cup qualifiers on November 28. The agreement also encompasses the 2029 FIBA EuroBasket, the 2027 and 2029 FIBA Continental competitions, FIBA Women’s EuroBasket qualifiers, and a selection of youth team games.

Frank Leenders, director general of FIBA Media and Marketing Services, expressed satisfaction with the partnership, stating, “We are delighted to have secured this important collaboration with beIN SPORTS. It means FIBA now has an enviable broadcast position within the French market, when also taking into account the TF1 agreement signed several months ago.”
