Five-year-old girl and a ten-year-old boy were found dead near Tses in the Kharas Region

A five-year-old girl and a ten-year-old boy were found dead near Tses in the ||Kharas Region after they, together with three other people allegedly embarked on a journey on foot on 31 December 2019 and never reached their destination.

The Namibian Police Force Detective Chief Inspector, Jesaias Higoam told Nampa today that the deceased, Lentina Kooper and Laurintius Tobias were found dead on Thursday and today, respectively.

Higoam explained that the two children together with a 15-year-old girl, a 13-year-old boy and a 50-year-old woman allegedly embarked on a journey on foot from Tses to farm Grysholde, some 40 Kilometres North East of Tses on 31 December 2019.

When the family realised that the people did not arrive at the farm on the evening of 01 January they informed the local police and the following day the police, special reserve force, the village council and the community started searching the direction they used, he said.

The 50-year-old woman, Higoam said was the first to be found some 30 kilometres near Tses and was exhausted and she was taken to the Tses clinic where she was later transferred to the Keetmanshoop State Hospital.
