Forex trader granted bail of N.dollars 35 000 in the Windhoek Magistrate’s Court

Forex trader Michael Amushelelo who is facing charges of alleged money laundering and fraud, was granted bail of N.dollars 35 000 in the Windhoek Magistrate's Court today.

Amushelelo was released on bail shortly after he made his first appearance before magistrate Ivan Gawanab alongside co-accused Gregory Cloete, who was also released on bail of N.dollars 35 000.

Bail was granted with conditions that the two men surrender all their travelling documents to the police investigating officers and should not apply for new ones.

The duo was also ordered not to leave the district of Windhoek without seeking prior authorisation from the police investigating officers and to report themselves at the Windhoek Police Station on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays between 08h00 and 17h00.

They were further ordered not to interfere with police investigations by directly or indirectly contacting State witnesses.
