Four robbed at gunpoint in Windhoek

The Namibian Police Force (NamPol) recorded four cases of robberies at gunpoint in Windhoek over the weekend.

In its weekend crime report on Monday, NamPol indicated that a man was allegedly robbed at gunpoint in Charmaine Street in the Khomasdal residential area on Saturday.

The incident happened between 21h00-22h00, when the suspect allegedly pointed a gun at the victim and took his cell phone and money valued at N.dollars 13 000.

The report further said that a woman was robbed of her vehicle at gunpoint in the Rocky Crest residential area at around 21h00 on the same day.

“It is alleged that the suspect pointed the complainant with a firearm and took her Charcoal black Volkswagen Tiguan vehicle, a necklace, a Samsung A53 cell phone and N.dollars 400.00,” the report said.

It added that another woman was robbed of her cellphone at gunpoint in the Khomasdal location on Saturday, while on the same day, a man was robbed of his phone at around 21h45, also in Khomasdal.

No recoveries of items has been made and police investigations continue.
