The construction of the campus situated in the Noordhoek residential area was supposed to be completed last September, but was put on hold due to financial constraints.

After an assessment was done it was resolved that her ministry, the National Planning Commission and the university will acquire the needed funds and it will be completed in the course of this year, Kandjii-Murangi said in her remarks at President HageGeingob's town hall meeting here Wednesday.

She noted that universities are given funds but it is not specified what amount is for capital projects, as this is for the institute to decide.

Once completed, the first phase will amongst others house four lecture halls, four geoscience laboratories, one classroom, administration offices, a disability access ramp, lecturers' offices, a boardroom, ablution facilities and study areas.
