Gazza goes Kwaito again

Pioneer of the Kwaito music genre in Namibia, Gazza, launched his 8th studio album this week. CD sales exceeded 1000 in the first week.Ambassador of Education and Kwaito artist, Gazza, real name Lazarus Shiimi, officially launched his latest album titled ‘Blood, Sweat and Tears” at a function earlier in the week.
Blood, Sweat and Tears is the singer’s 8th studio album. Gazza said it was one of his favourite projects. It is unlike his previous albums and there is a progressive narrative through the tracks reflecting the singer’s deeper interpretation of Kwaito. The new album has an altogether different vibe.
The Kwaito Adonis talks about his struggle in the music industry, in the track No Money. “fans have this misconception that artists have it good because of the way we portray ourselves in our music videos. But that is not the case, we all go through tough times as husbands, fathers, friends and brothers. I didn’t want to be shy so I wrote about my struggle”.
