Geingob extends sympathies to late Venonya’s family

President Hage Geingob has extended his condolences to the children and family of the late Moses ||Garoeb Constituency councillor, Aili Venonya, following her passing on 09 October 2022.

Venonya died at age 59.

In his message of condolences issued Thursday by the Office of the President, Geingob said the passing on of Venonya is a big loss to the residents of Moses ||Garoeb Constituency and the entire Namibian nation, saying she contributed to the hospitality sector and the socioeconomic development of her constituency.

The president said the Swapo Party has lost a great leader who served her people diligently.

“During this difficult time of bereavement, Namibia mourns a remarkable woman who devoted her life to youth and women empowerment. I extend sincere condolences to the children, the bereaved family, and the entire Moses ||Garoeb community. Our thoughts and prayers are with you,” he said.

Venonya served as Moses ||Garoeb Constituency Councillor from 2020 until the time of her passing on Sunday.
