GIPF in a sound financial position

The Government Institution Pension Fund’s (GIPF) triennial March 2012 Actuarial Valuation Report revealed that the fund is in a financially sound position. The actuarial value of assets in 2012 was approximately N$50.2 billion, an increase from 2009’s valuation of N$29.9 billion; 2012 reserves were at N$12.6 billion an increase from N$8.85 billion in 2009; liabilities increased from N$19.4 billion in 2009 to N$35.8 billion in 2012.
