Gymnasium U19 Super League Champions

Windhoek Gymnasium, for the second consecutive year, were crowned champions of the U19 Bank Windhoek Schools Netball Super League, after defeating Elnatan Private School 50-34 in a thrilling final over the weekend.

It was the consistent quality netball of the Windhoek Gymnasium girls who defended their territory with vigor and their goal scoring that made them walk away with the title trophy and N$8 000 prize money.

In the Division B, Edugate Academy from Otjiwarongo won the title after beating Windhoek Afrikaans Private School (WAPS), in a fiercely contested match that ended with a narrow score line of 37:34.

When handing over the prizes, Marlize Horn, Executive Officer: Marketing and Corporate Communication Services at Bank Windhoek, praised the organisers and players of the Super League.

“Bank Windhoek is proud to be associated with such a well-organised competition and for this reason Bank Windhoek will continue sponsoring the competition. We trust that this competition will serve as motivation for schools in the Namibia School Sport Union (NSSU) League to do well so that they can qualify for the Bank Windhoek Schools Netball Super League in 2015.”
