Vientiane: Indian airline IndiGo will operate direct flights between India’s Kolkata and Cambodia’s cultural province of Siem Reap, starting from Thursday, Cambodian Minister of Tourism Huot Hak said on Wednesday. This will mark the first time an Indian carrier offers direct flight connectivity between the two countries.

According to Namibia Press Agency, IndiGo will operate these flights three times a week, every Monday, Thursday, and Saturday, using its Airbus A320neo aircraft. Siem Reap is home to the UNESCO-listed Angkor Archaeological Park, which is Cambodia’s most popular tourist destination.
