Jakarta: New credit disbursement in Indonesia recorded positive growth in the third quarter of 2025.

According to Namibia Press Agency, the survey showed that the Weighted Net Balance (WNB) of new credit demand stood at 82.33 percent, slightly lower than 85.22 percent in the previous quarter but higher than 80.64 percent in the same period last year. BI projected that new credit disbursement will continue to rise in the fourth quarter of 2025, with an estimated WNB of 96.40 percent.

Lending standards during the third quarter were found to be more cautious compared with the second quarter, as reflected in the positive Lending Standard Index of 5.78 across all types of credit. The tightening measures included administrative requirements, collateral conditions, loan approval fees, credit ceilings, and loan terms.

Survey respondents anticipated that outstanding loans would continue to expand by the end of 2025, supported by favorable economic and monetary conditions and manageable lending risks.
