Coach Woody Jacobs has made five changes to the lineup to face Zambia in a crucial match in Group C at the 2021 COSAFA Women Championship underway in Port Elizabeth at 15h30 on Sunday 3 October.
Having played to a goalless draw in their opening match against Uganda, Jacobs makes five changes with Lydiana Nanamus, Selma Enkali, Annouscka Kordom, Nicole Philander, Asteria Angula coming in. Veronica Van Wyk, Juliana Blou, Thomalina Adams, , Milicent Hikuam, Rita Williams drops to the bench.
Coach Woody Jacobs promises a different performance from the Brave Gladiators.
“Zambia takes on a different Namibian side today, a team with a different belief and mindset and capabilities. With a well-defined game plan, we can defeat them because they are defeatable.” Jacobs says.
Jacobs says team spirit remained at a high, a promising factor for match.
“We make changes compared to the team that faced Uganda, more so because we have a different mindset and objective, but we will definitely be coming in stronger in this match than we did in our last” ,states Jacobs.
