Katutura Expo under-13 tourney set for Saturday

The fourth edition of the Katutura Expo under 13 seven a side football tourney will start at the Katutura Hope Center here on Saturday.

The competition under the auspices of Katutura Expo is aimed at exposing the player's talent to compete at a high level and getting on with each other's.

Competition organiser Kuveri Tjonga told Nampa Thursday various football academy in the capital and from regions are expected to participate.

Among others, Renamo Bucks, Raising Angel, K.J Kapeua, Katutura Sport Union football academies will feature in the tournament.

We always have teams from as far as rural area and this is the opportunity for them to come and explore things in Windhoek especially at Katutura expo free of charge. So far we have registered five football academies and hoping that by Friday the number will increase, he said.

The organiser added that besides unspecified amount of money trophies and medals will be up for grabs during the tournament.

Tjonga further urged football lovers to come in numbers and support the future stars.

These players have potential and with the support from the community they will play at a high level in future, emphasised Tjonga.

K.J.Kapeua Combined School from Ovitoto won the first two editions of the tournament while Windhoek-based Emagreef won the competition last year.
