Khomas Welcomes 29 Christmas Babies

Khomas: Twenty-nine babies were born in State hospitals in the Khomas Region on Christmas Day.



According to Namibia Press Agency, Sister Ndinelao Petrus, who was in charge at the Katutura State Hospital on 25 December 2025, reported that 22 babies were born. The smallest among them was a 1.6kg baby boy who was born at home and later brought to the hospital, while the largest baby weighed 3.7kg. The first delivery was recorded at 01h18, with the last one at 23h08.



Seven births were recorded at Windhoek Central Hospital, consisting of five girls and two boys. The smallest baby at this hospital weighed 1.5kg, and the largest weighed 3.6kg. Mediclinic Windhoek did not record any births on Thursday, and efforts to obtain information from Lady Pohamba Private Hospital proved futile by the time of publishing.
