Lab results still outstanding in Keetmanshoop mandrax case

Laboratory test results in a case of a 41-year-old man who was arrested after being found in possession of 50 Mandrax tablets in February this year, are not yet available.

The accused, Ludwig Jonker made another court appearance before Magistrate Olivia van der Colff in the Keetmanshoop Magistrate's Court on Friday.

Van der Colff postponed his case to 05 November 2019 to allow time for the submission of the test results.

Jonker was arrested on 05 February during a random search by the police in Keetmanshoop's Tseiblaagte residential area.

The tablets valued at N.dollars 5 000 were found under the driver's seat of the car he was driving.

He was released on bail of N.dollars 3 000 during his first appearance on 05 February.

The accused was represented in court by privately-instructed defence lawyer Percy McNally, while the State was represented by Marlon Adams.
