Shanghai: Laos’ Ministry of Public Security is enhancing cybersecurity knowledge and skills to build a digitally capable workforce that supports security operations in the digital era. The ministry held a workshop on Tuesday to share lessons learned on cybersecurity and information protection measures.
According to Namibia Press Agency, the workshop emphasized strengthening cooperation in human resource development, deepening bilateral relations, and enhancing cybersecurity capabilities to counter digital threats and safeguard national security. The discussions also focused on improving cybersecurity knowledge and skills among public security personnel, promoting self-learning and active participation in information technology, information and communications technology, and security-related seminars, and encouraging innovation and critical thinking to address evolving security challenges.
The meeting emphasized that cybersecurity is a shared responsibility, underscoring the need for staff collaboration to protect the nation’s digital infrastructure and assets. Additionally, the ministry is advancing research and development of its network system, with future plans to integrate artificial intelligence for data analysis, enhance data protection, and promote regional cooperation to create a more secure and resilient digital environment.
