Hanoi: International Table Tennis Federation (ITTF) president Petra Sorling has re-appointed Liu Guoliang as the ITTF deputy president, the global table tennis governing body announced. The re-appointment took place during the ITTF Executive Board’s first meeting of the new term. This meeting was chaired by Sorling and attended by all eight newly elected executive vice presidents, including Liu.

According to Namibia Press Agency, Sorling emphasized Liu’s experience, understanding of the sport, and long-standing commitment to the ITTF as critical assets for the organization. Liu was originally elected ITTF executive vice president in 2021 and was appointed as ITTF deputy president in 2022.

Liu expressed his dedication by stating, “I will continue to spare no effort in working with the ITTF president and the Executive Board to promote the development of table tennis on the global sports stage.”
