Beijing: Ian Borg, Malta’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Foreign Affairs and Tourism, will pay an official visit to China from July 13 to 16, a Chinese foreign ministry spokesperson announced Thursday. The visit is at the invitation of Wang Yi, a member of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China Central Committee and Chinese Foreign Minister, the spokesperson said.
According to Namibia Press Agency, this visit aims to strengthen bilateral relations and explore opportunities for collaboration between Malta and China. Wang Yi’s invitation underlines the significance China places on its diplomatic relationship with Malta, which is a part of broader efforts to enhance international partnerships.
