Man allegedly commits suicide at Keetmanshoop

A 36-years-old man allegedly committed suicide by hanging himself with an electric wire in Keetmanshoop in the ||Kharas Region on Friday morning.

The Namibian Police Force's crime investigations coordinator for the region, Deputy Commissioner Chrispin Mubebo, told Nampa on Sunday that the deceased was identified as Junias Kapolo.

He said the deceased was found by another person who they share the shack with around 01h20 on Friday morning.

The incident happened in the Extension 7 Tseiblaagte residential area, no foul play is suspected at the moment and the cause of death is not known at this stage, Mubebo said.

The deceased next of kin has been informed of his death and police investigations continue.

Meanwhile police at Tses are yet to arrest a suspect after he allegedly stole two cattle at farm Bloudam on Friday afternoon.

The suspect loaded two cattle in the field and sold them at a farm in the Koes area without the owner's consent. Both cattle were recovered, the well known suspect is yet to be arrested, Mubebo said.

The incident happened between 11h00 and 12h00 and the value of the cattle is N.dollars 10 000.

Police investigations continue.
