A 49-year-old man allegedly committed suicide on Thursday by hanging himself in the garage of his house in Otjiwarongo’s Extension 8 residential area.
Namibian Police Force (NamPol) spokesperson in the Otjozondjupa Region, Inspector Maureen Mbeha, told Nampa the deceased has been identified by relatives as Hassan Mberirua.
Mberirua’s body was discovered by his brother shortly before 12h00 on Thursday.
“He left behind a suicide note, thus no foul play is suspected in his death,” she said.
The deceased was related to 47-year-old Job Uapendura Muramba, whose lifeless body was found floating in a sewage dam at Okakarara on Tuesday.
Police investigations in both matters continue.
