The Namibian Police Force (NamPol) in the Kavango West Region on Sunday arrested a 42-year-old man for possession of cannabis.
The incident happened at Siudiva village at around 12h50, the weekend crime report by the police indicated.
It is alleged the police conducted a search operation at the suspect’s house and found 40 parcels of cannabis. The cannabis valued at N.dollars 6 243.50 were found buried in the suspect’s yard.
He is expected to appear in the Rundu Magistrate’s Court on Monday.
Meanwhile, the police also arrested a 28-year-old woman at the same village for possession of 19 parcels of cannabis valued N.dollars 3 003.30.
She is also expected to appear in the Rundu Magistrate’s Court on Monday.
Police investigations in the matters continue.
