A 25-year-old man was allegedly found dead by his girlfriend at a church at Nkurenkuru in the Kavango West Region on Wednesday.

Namibian Police Force (NamPol) spokesperson, Deputy Commissioner Kauna Shikwambi, said the man’s body was found at a church in the Maporeza residential area.

The deceased has been identified as Andreas Matamo Sitentu.

It is alleged that Sitentu was sick and was brought to the church during July 2022 for prayers.

Before that, he was allegedly taken to the hospital, but there was no improvement in his unknown condition.

Shikwambi said no arrests have been made in connection with the matter yet as the police are awaiting the outcome of the autopsy.

Sitentu’s next of kin have been informed of his death.
