Man shot during argument at Karasburg

The Namibian Police Force (NamPol) at Karasburg in the //Kharas region are investigating a case of attempted murder in which a 39-year-old was shot on Saturday afternoon at the southern town.

NamPol's crime investigations coordinator for //Kharas, Deputy Commissioner ChrispinMubebo told Nampa Monday that the 50-year-old man fired at the victim four times and one of the shots truck the victim in the neck.

'The incident happened at around 14h30 on Saturday behind the railway line in town.The suspect shot the victim after an argument erupted between the two,' he said.

Mubebo added that the victim, Kevin Kemp is in a critical condition and is being treated at the Keetmanshoop State Hospital.

The suspect is set to appear in the Karasburg Magistrate's Court on Monday and police investigations continue.
