The police in the Kavango West Region arrested a 58-year-old man last week Wednesday after he stabbed another man to death who was allegedly pursuing his wife.
The incident happened at Kambumbu village, the police indicated in its weekend crime report availed on Sunday.
It is reported that the 27-year-old victim was at a local shebeen when the suspect allegedly stabbed him to death with a knife, in the abdomen.
The deceased body was transported to the Nankudu district hospital from where it was transferred to the Rundu state hospital where he died on Thursday. His next of kin have been informed although his identity was not revealed.
Meanwhile, the suspect made his first court appearance in the Rundu Magistrate’s Court on Friday and was denied bail.
His case was postponed to 09 May 2023.
