Miss High School Namibia 2013, Sylvia Sheuya from Tsumeb Secondary School (centre), 1st Princess Lisa Amukugo also from Tsumeb Secondary School (right) and 2nd princess Ruth Muteka from Etosha Secondary School are the fairest of them all at the Miss High School Namibia pageant.Fifteen year old Sylvia Sheuya a grade 9 learner at Tsumeb Secondary School was crowned the winner of the Miss High School Namibia beauty pageant last weekend.
Sheuya has always wanted to be a model. “At the age 11 would always try on clothes and pretend to be a model. As time went by I started watching models doing what they do best on stage and that inspired me and made my hunger for modelling even more. I started taking part in beauty pageants the year I went to secondary school. It was there that I decided to take part in Miss New Comer pageant that was hosted by the school, and I was crowned Miss New Comer 2012”.
Winning that pageant encouraged Sheuya to take part in her school’s annual in-house competition,  Miss TSS (Tsumeb Secondary School) the same year and she became second princess.
“10 years from now I see myself doing charity work for orphans and homeless kids. I advise my fellow youth to always be themselves and not to let harsh words get them down. If you know you can achieve it, set your mind to it and do it, stand tall and never give up on your dreams” she said.
