Minister of Information and Communication Technology, Peya Mushelenga is self-isolating after testing positive for COVID-19 on Wednesday.
The ministry on Thursday in a media statement said Mushelenga is asymptomatic and in a stable condition and will remain in isolation until he fully recovers.
The minister is one of the first Cabinet members to have been fully vaccinated after getting his second jab of Sinopharm a few weeks ago.
He has now become the second Member of Parliament this week to have tested positive for the virus after speaker of the National Assembly Peter Katjavivi was also announced to have tested positive on Tuesday.
