Namibia Airports Company has called on members of the public to use of the arrival doors

The Namibia Airports Company (NAC) has called on members of the public to only make use of the arrival doors to access the Hosea Kutako International Airport terminal building while the airport is expanded.

In a statement issued on Monday, NAC said the departure doors of the terminal building will be closed until further notice while work is carried out under the congestion alleviation project.

It said all passengers are urged to access the terminal building through the arrival doors, which have been widened to ensure that both departing and arriving passengers enter and exit in the best possible manner.

Members of the flying public must observe the applicable signage to navigate their way through the airport, the statement said

The congestion alleviation project aims to double the handling capacity of the Hosea Kutako International Airport (HKIA) to accommodate increased passenger movement.

The project, estimated to cost N.dollars 250 million, commenced last month and is expected to last 12 months.
