Namibia: Cosafa Castle Cup Tour Hits Okahandja

The Cosafa Castle Cup continued its tour on Friday when the Cup stopped by Okahandja at the Nau-Aub Stadium.

The turnout was fair although there were fewer elders than the youth who came out to see the trophy and play ball with the legends who were present.

The legends present included Brave Warriors coach Ricardo Mannetti, former Brave Warriors goal keeper Ronny Kanalelo and midfield maestro Congo Hindjou.

Former Brave Gladiators defender and captain, Helvi Eliakim was also present and said she was satisfied with the turnout of the fans but expressed the wish that the older audience showed more interest in the tour by turning up in their numbers.

She added that she believed when the competition starts the Brave Warriors would do well but she was a bit sceptical about whether they would retain the trophy as it will be very tough, but she remained adamant in her support for the team.

The veterans posed with the fans who were all flocking for a picture with the coveted trophy. The fans were yet again entertained by Adora and her crew who gave electrifying musical performances.

Fans were also blessed with some gifts when they were asked questions ranging from who the competition's main sponsor is and which countries are taking part in the competition.

The trophy makes its next stop on Saturday at Gobabis's Legare Stadium at 14:00. See you there!
