Namibia receives donations from UAE

The Embassy of the United Arab Emirate (UAE) yesterday donated items to the value of N.dollars 639 975 to the Namibian government, through the Ministry of International Relations and Cooperation (MIRCO).

Among the donated items are sanitary pads and school shoes that will be shared among the learners of the Moses Garoeb and Kwakwas Primary Schools and that of Khomastura and Westmond high schools.

The donation also includes food hampers towards the drought relief programme as well as wheel chairs and cleaning products for medical facilities.

Handing over the items, UAE ambassador to Namibia, Mahash Saheed Al Hameli said that this donation was not to please the country for any interest.

He explained that in addition to the 90 pairs of shoes donated, the embassy plans to add more to make it 500 pairs that will be shared among the four schools.
