Namibia tumbles down Fifa rankings

Brave Warriors plummeted eight places down the latest International Federation of Association Football (Fifa) world rankings released Thursday by the world football governing body.

The senior men's national team was ranked 113 in the world and 28th in Africa in July are now ranked 121 in the world and 30th in Africa.

In Africa Senegal remains the top ranked team, followed by Tunisia, Nigeria, Algeria, Morocco and Egypt to complete the top five.

Belgium remains the top ranked country in the world followed by Brazil, followed by France, England and Uruguay in the top five.

The current ratings comes at the backdrop of the National team having performed indifferently this year.

The Brave Warriors played Zambia in February, and lost 4-1 in Lusaka before winning two matches at Council of Southern African Football Associations, and losing one.

They then beat Ghana in unofficial friendly before losing three group matches to Morocco, South Africa and Ivory Coast at the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations.
