The Namibian Police Force’s (NamPol) Directorate of Crime Investigations is seeking assistance in tracing a woman suspected of dealing in heroin and recruiting people as drug mules at Seeis in the Khomas Region.

A statement issued by the police said the woman is 1,5 metres tall with brown eyes. She reportedly has a tattoo of a cannabis plant on her left leg, a star tattoo on her upper right arm, and a tattoo of a spider web on her lower right arm.

“Efforts by the police to trace her have not been successful, therefore NamPol is calling on any person with information on her whereabouts to report to the nearest police station,” it said.

The woman is reportedly originally from Opuwo in the Kunene Region.

Meanwhile, NamPol also announced that it confiscated a large quantity of cannabis, mandrax tablets, cocaine powder, crack cocaine and abortion pills from several drug dealers countrywide in June.

“Altogether, the seized drugs are worth more than N.dollars 1,3 million,” said the police statement.

A total of 104 suspected drug dealers were arrested as a result, including 98 Namibians, four Angolans, one Tanzanian and one Zambian national.
