NaTIS Swakopmund robbed of N.dollars 70 000

An alleged break-in into the Swakopmund National Traffic Information System (NaTIS) office led to the theft of N. dollars 70 297.60 in cash.

The incident, according to Erongo Regional Crime Investigations Coordinator Deputy Commissioner Erastus Iikuyu, took place between Tuesday 23h00 and Wednesday 04h00.

The unknown Suspects allegedly unlawfully and intentionally removed the window glass from one of the offices through which they gained entrance into the building, cutting the safe open with a cutting torch and took the money.

Nothing was recovered and no arrest were made yet.

A case of House breaking with Intend to steal and theft is being investigated.

The police has requested for the public's assistance in locating the wanted criminals.
