NCT donates goods to Motsomi Primary School

The Namibia Community Trust (NCT) donated goods worth 800000 to the Motsomi Primary school in Corridor 13 settlement in the Aminuis Constituency of the Omaheke Region.

The school which has 20 teachers, 624 learners and 40 institutional workers received 675 single beds, 675 matrasses, 675 bed sheets, cutleries and liftment of hostel blocks.

Speaking at the handover ceremony NCT trustee Angelina Sinvula said the current hostel set up will positively influence the performance of learners and enable them to concentrate on their studied.

The hostel is the second home of those who reside in it. Hostels are places where learners live, spending time with their friends studying, said Sinvula.

She called on the Director of education in the Omaheke region to record the items donated to the asset register of the government through the treasury.

On his part, Constituency councilor Peter Kazongominja, urged the pupils of Motsomi Primary school to take care of the goods donated to them.

People are employed at this hostel to make sure what ever government is bringing here is well taken care of. You are not here just to receive a salary, you are here to take accountability of whatever is here, he said.

The Motsomi Primary school has been operational since 1982.
